Before former President Donald Trump speaks in Conroe on Saturday night, he’ll be making a stop in Houston to help out an event featuring his son Donald Trump Jr.
The elder Trump is set to speak at an all-day convention called the American Freedom Tour that features his son, a vocal figure during the Trump presidency. The event at the George R. Brown Convention Center has tickets ranging from $9 to nearly $2,000 for people who want to meet the younger Trump.
Trump Jr. has headlined similar conferences in Arizona and Florida, but without his father.
“You’re going to hear me and a bunch of other great patriots talking about the direction we have to take our country and everything we need to do,” Trump Jr. said in a social media post promoting the event earlier this month.

The American Freedom Tour’s social media sites announced on Monday that the former president had been added as a keynote speaker.
Organizers have not said when or how long Trump will speak during that event, which runs from 8:15 a.m. until 5 p.m. They have closed the event to the media.
They have advertised the event as one to discuss faith, family and financial freedom. Other conferences the they’ve had in Florida and Arizona have included seminars on financial planning and investing, in addition to straight political speeches.
The 75-year-old former president and real estate mogul, who has falsely claimed that voter fraud cost him the 2020 election, is scheduled to speak later that night at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds, for his first full Make America Great Rally in Texas since 2019. That event is free, with speakers, including Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, set to begin at 4:30 p.m. Trump is scheduled to speak at 7 p.m.
